Nano Update

Image
Here's my Nano2015 update Total word count: 68, 859 This is the first draft of Enthralling Retribution (Empyrean Chronicles 3) So... YAY!!! It's strange though, because while I was writing this book, I totally thought it would end up being the longest book I'd written.  And, while it's not the shortest Ive written, it is the shortest of the empyrean Chronicles so far. Unlike other authors, who write a lot, and then trim the fat. I write in only the skeleton first, and then add the meat. So, this book will still probably end up at 76,000-80,000 words.  Anyhow.  There you have it.  I've got it up for preorder now on Amazon .  Ill revise and edit it probably 3 times, then to the betas, then editing.  Then YOU get to read it. :) See you next year my favorite NaNoWriMos!!!!!

November 24:  Yellow, Green, and Read All Over "... Overall, the characters in  Enchanted Revenge  were well-written and as well-drawn as the world in which they lived.  What struck me most about them, though, were ...

Nano Week 2

So... my word count at the half way mark is... 21,665! Not quite the 25,000 that Im supposed to be at, but getting there.  I wrote 3500+ words today, which is phenomenal for a Sunday (the only day my husband is off.) Also, this weekend was a big and busy one for us. My daughter turned 10!!! TEN! No more single digits!  So we had a huge sleepover, which rolled into Saturday. The party and sleepover went pretty bad, and the kids had to leave early. My daughter ended up crying the rest of the day. (PS. Girls and kids can be so mean sometime! Ugh.) Anyways, so we spent a large majority of the weekend trying to make it better for her.  So, the fact that i wrote at all is kind of a miracle.  ALSO- my 4 year old was sick, throwing up, and miserable.  On the bright side, ONE More week until the Thanksgiving Holiday (And a one week vacation, thanks to working for the school district!) I plan on getting to at least 30,000 by the end ...

NanoWrimo Update 1

Alright... For the first week of Nano, I ended up with just over 10k words. (10,765) Definitely not as many as I'd liked. And Im falling behind a lot. BUT im still gonna push forward and try to bang out another 40k by the end. I work for a school, so Ill get a week off for Thanksgiving. Im kinda counting on that time. And maybe its allowing me to slack, knowing that Ill have that week. BUT I still think I can do it!

So... about two weeks ago, my husband told me that he'd be getting something in the mail and to NOT OPEN IT. Because it would be one of my Christmas presents. Alright. No problem. Yesterday, we got that package. Just a brown envelope with a To: and From: and thats about it. Chris (the husband) gets home and says, "Just open it babe. I know you know what it is." He was upset, face turning pink, short with his words. and grumpy. Kinda like: (But not really, because he doesnt really get mad. Ever.) Surprised, I told him I honestly had no idea what it was. How could I? I mean, you could feel something through the bag. But he was adamant that I already knew what it was. The From name looked kinda like the last name was Purse, So I went back to trying to figure out what was inside. (Afraid he mightve gotten me a purse. And though you dont know this, because you dont really know me, Ill tell you a secret. I dont like purses. I don...
