Review: Boundless (Unearthly #3) by Cynthia Hand
Title: Boundless
(Unearthly #3)
Author: Cynthia Hand
Summary:
The past few years have held
more surprises than part-angel Clara Gardner could ever have anticipated. Yet from
the dizzying highs of first love, to the agonizing low of losing someone close
to her, the one thing she can no longer deny is that she was never meant to
live a normal life.
Since discovering the special
role she plays among the other angel-bloods, Clara has been determined to
protect Tucker Avery from the evil that follows her . . . even if it means
breaking both their hearts. Leaving town seems like the best option, so she’s
headed back to California - and so is Christian Prescott, the irresistible boy
from the vision that started her on this journey in the first place.
As Clara makes her way in a
world that is frighteningly new, she discovers that the fallen angel who
attacked her is watching her every move. And he’s not the only one. . . . With
the battle against the Black Wings looming, Clara knows she must finally
fulfill her destiny. But it won’t come without sacrifices and betrayal.
In the riveting finale of the
Unearthly series, Clara must decide her fate once and for all.

Review:
Finally got my hands on a copy of the final installment in this
awesome series, and im so glad I did.
The story starts a few months after Hallowed ends.
(Apparently there is a novella filling in the blanks from the missing summer,
but I haven’t read it yet.) Anyways, Angela, Christian and Clara have enrolled
in Stanford and have started school there, ready to try to live a life without
angels for a little while. A normal life. But, this doesn’t last long because
the whole reason for them going to Stanford is Angelas Purpose is there.
Jeffrey, Claras younger brother, has left and decided to do
his own thing for a while, which clearly upsets Clara. Clara and Christian
consider having a thing, but she is still caught up on Tucker.
Then things get weird. Angela gets pregnant- and the father
is a mystery. Jeffrey has a new girlfriend, who isn’t all she is supposed to
be. Christian and Clara cant work out their thing, since she is still only
thinking about Tucker. Samjeeza has been showing up, non-stop, basically stalking
Clara for stories about her mother (since he is still in love with her) And
Michael, Claras dad, has started showing up to train her to sword fight.
When things start getting really sticking though, is when
someone is captured and taken to Hell. The group of angel-bloods that Christian
and Clara are a part of decides not to try and rescue the kidnapped friend,
they try to find a way to do it themselves.
The story was very captivating. I enjoyed reading it from start
to finish. And I gotta say, through the first 2 books, I was Team Tucker all
the way. But he was barely in this book at all, that I gravitated to Team
Christian by the middle of the book. I wont say who she ends up with, though,
because I don’t want to spoil it.
Rating: 4 Stars.
I've only read the first book to this series so I'm really behind lol. I'm glad you enjoyed the book and I'm a definite Tucker fan though I'm a little scared to find out who she ends up with. Great review!
