Review: Last Sacrifice (VA#6) by Richelle Mead
Title: Last Sacrifice (Vampire Academy #6)
Author: Richelle Mead
Summary:
Rose Hathaway has always played by her own rules. She broke the law when she ran away
from St. Vladimir's Academy with her best friend and last surviving Dragomir
princess, Lissa. She broke the law when she fell in love with her gorgeous,
off-limits instructor, Dimitri. And she dared to defy Queen Tatiana, leader of
the Moroi world, risking her life and reputation to protect generations of
dhampir guardians to come.
Now the law has finally caught up with Rose - for a crime she didn't even commit. She's in prison for the highest offense imaginable: the assassination of a monarch. She'll need help from both Dimitri and Adrian to find the one living person who can stall her execution and force the Moroi elite to acknowledge a shocking new candidate for the royal throne: Vasilisa Dragomir.
But the clock on Rose's life is running out. Rose knows in her heart the world of the dead wants her back...and this time she is truly out of second chances. The big question is, when your whole life is about saving others, who will save you?

Review:
So… I kinda fell like this was anticlimactic. Like… Ive read
six books now, and this was the ending?? Not quite what I was expecting. I don’t
know how to write this review without spoilers… so ill just do my best.
The story is about Rose, dimitri and Sydney (the alchemist)
on the run- in hiding, while the rest of the gang tries to fine out who REALLY
murdered the queen. The ironic thing is that even while Rose was gone and “in
hiding” she still managed to save the day in more ways than one. (not only
discovering the queen… but something else too)
Of course all the same characters are there- though some are
apparently not all they appeared to be in the previous books. For example- some
are more twisted than they appeared, and some are WAY more important than you
would have thought.
We all know the most important thing here is the love triangle
(not the murderer, not who will be queen next, not even the douche Victor- or
maybe that’s just my own twisted logic) So… I wont spoil it. But I will say I
was happy with the way it turned out. Though Rose Definitely could have gone
about it a WAY better way. She had some serious douche moments on her part!!
(Poor poor guy…)
And on that note, I HATED how that ended. Though, like I said,
I liked who she ended up with, the way it happened was SO wrong, and never
explained how the other guy turned out!!
The random part about the keepers seemed not important, and I
don’t know why it was there at all… I just felt like, though it was a great
book, it wasn’t good enough to be the final book in a six book series…
Rating: 4 Stars.
